Ridgeline Climate
Strategy at the intersection of climate, people, and capital.
About

I have spent over 20 years on the front lines of climate action, leading strategy and building new solutions across nonprofits, international institutions, and the private sector — including most recently as Chief Climate Officer at Mercy Corps. I have seen hundreds of promising solutions up close, and learned where focus and capital make a dramatic difference, and where the energy and money disappears into the gap between ambition and impact.I've also developed a strong conviction: the most effective climate action starts with understanding the whole picture, connecting social, environmental, and economic forces that actually drive change, and bringing people along rather than working around them. This is harder than it sounds, and rarer than it should be, but I remain genuinely optimistic about what's possible when it happens.I bring that clarity to organizations and investors who want to be part of the climate solution but can feel overwhelmed — so they can focus, act with confidence, and move things that actually matter.
Approach
For OrganizationsRidgeline Climate works with funders and implementers to identify real potential, test what's feasible, and put their energy and capital where it can be most effective — across philanthropy, investment, and everything in between. I bring the most value to complex challenges, where the hardest work is combining science with social and economic forces so people can see the whole system and move together in ways that catalyze lasting change. For IndividualsRidgeline Climate works with a small number of wealth holders and their advisors to assess and improve the climate impact of their full balance sheet — investments, real assets, philanthropy, and impact investing. Using the Whole-Wealth Climate Framework, we help clients understand where their climate impact stands today and what it would take to improve it, working alongside their existing advisors rather than in place of them.
